Today we got a call from a woman describing a bee or hornet that is larger than a horse fly, and had been getting in her house. We arrived at her house to find that she had a nest of Giant Hornets. We were able to vacuum out, and collect the ones pictured below from the nest in her house in Streetsboro, before leaving a residual chemical for any that were not in the nest. Giant hornets can be very intimidating due to their large size, however are not particularly aggressive unless they feel threatened. Their stinger is about a 1/4 inch in length, and packs a large amount of venom, making their stings very painful.
