Today we received a call from a customer in Chagrin Falls, stating she had found a wasp, or hornet nest going in near the gutter of her house. When we arrived at her house, we found that she had a yellow jacket nest, and that they were going into a hole just under her roof line. Our technician (pictured below) was able to vacuum out a large portion of the yellow jackets to freeze, then send off to be made into a vaccine for those allergic to bee stings. Once he collected as many as he could, he was able to then kill the remainder of the nest, giving us yet another happy customer. For all your bee, wasp, and yellow jacket problems give us a call at 216-348-3379.

Carpenter Ants With Wings
Yesterday we received a call from a customer who said she had large black ants with wings in her house, these ants with wings are Carpenter Ant Swarmers, and are a sign of a mature nest. Carpenter ants like to nest in wet, or rotted wood, and people often confuse the swarmers with termites. While they are a wood destroying insect, they are not as bad as termites, as they do not actually eat the wood, just hollow it out to create their nest. They can cause a lot of damage, and should not be ignored when you see them. When we arrived at her house in Twinsburg, she said she was also having an issue with stink bugs, and lady bugs. We were able to take care of all 3 of her problems at the same time, if you have problems with any pests just give us a call at 216-348-3379.
Bees Outside a Kitchen Window
Today we got a call from a customer who found he had a bee, or wasp nest forming outside his kitchen window. We arrived at his house in Hudson, to find that it was a yellow jacket nest that was building in his wall. Our technicians were able to identify the problem, and take care of it, all while the customer was at work. We were able to vacuum up a large portion of the nest before leaving a residual chemical for any remaining yellow jackets to pick up. When yellow jackets build a nest in a wall, it can expand to the point where they chew through the dry wall, and begin coming in your house. This is clearly something that you want to avoid, so if you notice that you have a nest forming inside one of your walls, give us a call at 216-348-3379.
European Hornets
Today we went to a customers house in Aurora Ohio to find that she had a nest of European Hornets, these large hornets are commonly called Giant Hornets, and often confused with the Asian Giant Hornet. These hornets do get very large, and in nature will nest in a hollowed out section of a tree, making nesting in the wall of your house an ideal spot for them. They generally avoid conflict, but are defensive of their hive, and of food sources, so if they are nesting in your wall, or a tree nearby it, you may be seen as a threat to their nest. If you should find you have a nest of European Hornets, do not approach it, just give us a call at 216-348-3379.
Bald Face Hornets
Bald Faced Hornets are actually not a true hornet, they belong to the yellow jacket family, and are easily distinguishable due to their black bodies with white markings, which lead to their name. Their nests are easy to identify as they make the classic football shaped paper nest at someones house. Today we went to a house in Solon Ohio to take care of a yellow jackets nest, and during our inspection of the property we found a Bald Face Hornet nest forming on the back of the house. Not only were we able to identify and potential problem, we were able to take care of it before it became worse. Bald faced hornets are extremely protective of their nests, and will sting multiple times. Due to their aggression it is not advisable to try to treat them on your own, so if you have a bald faced hornets nest, or any other pest issue just give us a call at 216-348-3379.
Yellow Jackets in a Barn
Today we got a call from a guy who found a nest in a newly built barn in Auburn Ohio. We arrived to find a large yellow jacket nest in the rafters of the barn. We were able to vacuum out a large number of yellow jackets, which we then froze, and sent to a company that will make a vaccine for people who are allergic to bee stings. After we collected as many as possible we were able to remove the nest, and leave a residual chemical to prevent the nest from being rebuilt. Giant Hornets in a Bathroom Vent
Today we got a call from a woman describing a bee or hornet that is larger than a horse fly, and had been getting in her house. We arrived at her house to find that she had a nest of Giant Hornets. We were able to vacuum out, and collect the ones pictured below from the nest in her house in Streetsboro, before leaving a residual chemical for any that were not in the nest. Giant hornets can be very intimidating due to their large size, however are not particularly aggressive unless they feel threatened. Their stinger is about a 1/4 inch in length, and packs a large amount of venom, making their stings very painful. If you have a problem with Giant Hornets, or another pest issue at your house, give us a call at 216-348-3379.

Yellow Jacket Breakthrough
This morning we received a call from a woman who found yellow jackets in her bathroom, and found that they had been coming in through a small hole they had created in her ceiling.
